Jeypore, Feb 14: A youth was brutally beaten to death with a cricket bat in Chalanguda village under Borigumma police limits in Koraput district.

The deceased has been identified as Rehman Khan.

According to reports, the victim, Rehman Khan, was allegedly attacked and killed with a cricket bat over some issue by the accused.

Police sources confirmed that one suspect, Adarsh Bisoee, a resident of the same village, has been detained in connection with the crime. Police currently probing the motive behind the killing, remains unclear.

Authorities have assured that a thorough investigation is underway to uncover the circumstances that led to the violent act.
