Kalahandi, Mar 20: In a tragic incident, a retired doctor died after his car collided with a container lorry near Baldhiamal Chhak under Junagarh police station limits in Kalahandi district.
The deceased doctor has been identified as Harischandra Pradhan.
According to police sources, Pradhan was returning home when the car collided with the truck. The impact was severe, following which he succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

In another road accident near Nandapur, two persons were killed when an Alto car (registration number OR18A6336) lost control and crashed into a roadside tree. The vehicle was travelling from Nandapur towards Padua when the mishap occurred close to the Nandapur Fire Station office.
The collision was so intense that the car was completely mangled, leaving the passengers trapped inside. Local witnesses immediately alerted the authorities, and the Nandapur Fire Department rushed to the spot.
Firefighters broke open the damaged vehicle and managed to rescue the two occupants, who were critically injured.
Both victims were taken to the Nandapur Community Health Centre for emergency treatment. However, despite the efforts of medical staff, doctors pronounced them dead upon arrival.
The deceased have been identified as Lab Khara of Golur village and Anant Pangi of Khudub village.
