Argus News - Young Woman Found Dead, Suicide Note Mentions Marriage Pressure

Bhubaneswar, Nov 20: A young woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside a locked house in the Palasuni Prachi Vihar area of Odisha’s capital on Thursday.

According to reports, the woman, who was living on rent and employed at a second-hand showroom, had not been responding to calls from her family.

Concerned by the sudden silence, her relatives alerted the police. Upon arrival, officers broke open the locked door and discovered her lifeless body inside the residence.

Police sources confirmed that a handwritten note was recovered near the body, believed to be a suicide note.

In the letter, the woman reportedly expressed her desire not to burden her family with concerns about her marriage.

She stated that no one was responsible for her death and that she did not want her family to be stressed over the ongoing search for a suitable match.

While initial findings suggest suicide, police have launched a thorough investigation. Authorities are examining all possible angles, including verifying the authenticity of the note through handwriting analysis.
