Bhubaneswar, Feb 18: Odisha is currently experiencing dense fog conditions, with visibility remaining low in several parts of the state and as per the Regional Meteorological Centre, it is expected to persist for at least two more days.

In view of the prevailing conditions, a yellow warning has been issued for the next 24 hours across ten districts: Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khordha, Puri, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Angul, and Dhenkanal. Dense fog has already disrupted daily life, with reduced visibility affecting road traffic and increasing the risk of accidents. Farmers have also reported difficulties in fieldwork due to the heavy mist covering agricultural lands.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has noted that night temperatures remain normal across the state. However, daytime temperatures are expected to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius starting today. This slight increase in daytime heat, combined with the lingering fog, may create uncomfortable conditions for residents.
