Bhubaneswar, Mar 8: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Sunday released the fourth instalment of the Subhadra Yojana. With this, more than 1 crore 2 lakh women beneficiaries across the state received Rs 5,000 each directly into their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Around 2.13 lakh new beneficiaries who have been added to the scheme will also receive the financial assistance in this phase.
Under the Subhadra scheme, all eligible beneficiaries are entitled to receive Rs 10,000 annually, disbursed in two instalments per year, up to a maximum of Rs 50,000, as per the scheme’s official website.
The annual assistance of Rs 10,000 will be disbursed in two equal instalments of Rs 5,000 on the occasions of Rakhi Purnima and International Women’s Day (March 8).

The Subhadra Yojana, launched by the Government of Odisha, aims to strengthen the financial independence of women by providing them with direct financial support.
As per the eligibility criteria, women who attain the age of 21 years will be newly included in the scheme, while those who cross the age of 60 years will be shifted to the pension beneficiary list under other social welfare programmes.
