Bhubaneswar, Jan 27: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Bhubaneswar Railway Station today seized a consignment of ganja and arrested two persons allegedly involved in the smuggling attempt.
According to reports, the RPF team was conducting routine checks at the station with a trained sniffer dog when the animal detected suspicious activity. The dog swiftly identified the presence of ganja, enabling the arrest of the two accused.
The two accused, both residents of Haryana, had travelled from Berhampur and arrived at Bhubaneswar station late Monday night.They were preparing to move the contraband outside the station premises.
Authorities have confirmed that further investigation is underway to trace the larger network involved in the smuggling operation.
