Bhubaneswar, Feb 21: A dramatic incident unfolded aboard the Duronto Express when a pregnant woman went into labor during the journey. Unable to cope with the sudden pain, she sought help from the Railway Protection Force’s (RPF) Meri Saheli team.

Responding swiftly, the RPF stopped the train at Bhubaneswar station and carried out a rescue operation. The woman was immediately transferred to an ambulance and rushed to Capital Hospital. Within a short time, she delivered a healthy baby boy. Doctors confirmed that both mother and child are safe and recovering well.

Exclusive visuals of the rescue were captured by Argus News, while CCTV footage at Bhubaneswar station documented the moment the woman was assisted off the train.

The woman later expressed heartfelt gratitude to the RPF and Odisha Police for their timely intervention, praising their compassion and professionalism. She noted that such support during a critical moment was invaluable.
