Bhubaneswar, Feb 21: A second-year plus II student was found hanging inside a hostel of the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS).

The deceased has been identified as Chandan Sabar, a resident of Nuapada district.

On being informed about the incident, Infocity police reached the scene and initiated a detailed investigation.

Authorities have registered an unnatural death case and seized the body for further examination. The body has been sent to Capital Hospital, where a post-mortem will be conducted once the student’s family arrives.

Police officials stated that the inquiry is ongoing to determine the circumstances leading to the death.

While preliminary reports suggest suicide, investigators have not ruled out other possibilities. The cause of death will be confirmed after the autopsy and further evidence collection.
