Ganjam, Jan 31: In a major success, Ganjam Police rescued 424 missing persons over a span of ten days under the Operation Anveshan‑2.


The intensive drive, conducted across multiple police stations in the district from January 21 to January 30, was aimed at tracing and reuniting missing individuals with their families.


Following the rescue, all were handed over to their families.


According to Superintendent of Police Shubendu Kumar Patra, the rescued included 360 women and 64 minors. Of the minors, 58 were girls and 6 were boys. All rescued individuals were safely handed over to their families after verification.


Kabisuryanagar Police Station reported the highest number of rescues at 44, while Chhatrapur Police Station followed closely with 41.

The operation highlights the coordinated efforts of district police units in addressing missing person cases and ensuring family reunification.
