Bhubaneswar, Jan 31: Tension gripped IG Park area here on Saturday morning after the body of a young man was discovered inside a shop near the Old Assembly Gate.


According to reports, the matter came to light this morning after locals noticed the lifeless body lying inside the shop and alerted the police about the same.


Soon after, officers from the Capital Police Station rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area.


A case was registered and a probe was initiated.


Preliminary reports suggest that the deceased may have been the shopkeeper, though his exact identity has not yet been confirmed. Investigators are working to establish whether the death was accidental, natural, or the result of foul play.


Eyewitnesses stated that the shop had remained closed for several hours before the discovery, raising suspicions among passersby.


Police officials have collected evidence from the spot and are awaiting the results of forensic examination.
