Sonepur, Dec 3: The District Collector of Sonepur, Dr. Nruparaj Sahu, on Wednesday issued show cause notices to officials after they were found absent during an administrative inspection at the Dungripali regulated dry market (RMC).

According to reports, the Collector visited the market in the morning and discovered that the executive officers responsible for its functioning were not present. Taking serious note of the lapse, he directed immediate disciplinary action.

Following his instructions, the RMC secretary issued ‘Show Cause’ notices to two officials, Shastrilal Sahu and Suresh Kumar Patel, for their absence during duty hours.

Officials said the move reflects the administration’s strict stance on accountability and its commitment to ensuring uninterrupted public service.

The Collector emphasised that negligence in duty will not be tolerated, especially in institutions directly serving farmers and the local community.
