The deaths include three males and two females, with the exact cause yet to be determined.
Zoo authorities reported that the affected crocodiles showed clinical symptoms such as weakness and loss of appetite prior to death. No external injuries, wounds, or abnormal aggressive behavior were observed.
Following the first death, the zoo immediately consulted experts from the Center for Wildlife Health (CWH). Based on their advice, preventive and supportive treatment, including antibiotics, was administered to the remaining crocodiles.
In addition, the enclosures were thoroughly cleaned, and disinfectant solutions were sprayed regularly to strengthen hygiene and biosecurity measures. Postmortem examinations were conducted by CWH specialists, who collected biological samples for laboratory testing. Officials stated that the precise cause of death will only be confirmed after lab reports are received.
