Barabill, Feb 19: A major fire broke out early this morning at the residence of a businessman Rohatash Agrawal, owner of Pariwar Cloth Store, near Money Tower in Ward No. 6 of Barabill Municipality.
According to reports, the incident came to light after the fire fighters team received the emergency call at around 4 a.m.
The blaze that is suspected to have originated from a cotton warehouse located in the backyard of the house, quickly engulfed the stored cotton and spread to two adjoining rooms containing office stationery.
As a result, property worth several lakhs of rupees was reduced to ashes.
Local residents raised the alarm, and both government and private fire brigades were immediately informed.
Responding swiftly, fire units from Barabil and Joda, along with two private mining company brigades, arrived at the scene.

In total, four fire engines worked in coordination to contain the fire, successfully preventing it from spreading further into the residence and surrounding areas.
