Cuttack, Oct 17: A 38-year-old man from Keonjhar district reportedly jumped into the Mahanadi River near Mundali Bridge in the early hours of Friday.
The victim has been identified as identified as Shaktikanta Sahu.
According to police sources, Shaktikanta Sahu, who had been residing in the Bhubaneswar area, reportedly drove alone to the Mundali Bridge, where, under unknown circumstances, he parked his car by the roadside and subsequently jumped into the Mahanadi River at approximately 2 AM, prompting an urgent search operation by local authorities.
A search operation is currently underway, with rescue teams scouring the river to locate the missing individual.
