Balasore, Nov 21: A tragic incident unfolded in Sanata under Nilagiri NAC when a young man lost his life after he accidentally came in contact with a live wire.

According to reports, a house owner had allegedly laid live electric wires around his garden to prevent flower theft.

On Friday morning, Tapas Das, a local youth and neighbour, came to pluck flowers when he accidentally came in contact with the fence, which was connected to a live wire. As a result, Tapas died on the spot.

The shocking incident has sparked outrage and tension in the area.

Locals expressed anger over the extreme measure taken by the house owner, calling it reckless and dangerous.

Later, on being informed, Nilgiri Police rushed to the spot and launched an investigation into the matter.

The body was seized and sent to a local hospital for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway as probe progresses.
