Puri, Nov 21: Tension gripped Raitisahi village near Konark after the half-burnt body of an unidentified youth was discovered in a field on Friday morning.

According to reports, the matter came to light after locals spotted the body and alerted the matter to the police. Upon receiving the alert, police reached the spot and initiated a probe intro the incident.

Authorities have cordoned off the area and initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.

While it remains unclear whether the incident is a case of murder or suicide, police officials have stated that forensic experts will examine the body to establish the cause of death and help identify the deceased.

“We are investigating all possible angles. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and the report will help us ascertain the cause of death,” said a senior officer.
