Bhubaneswar, Jan 31: The Odisha government has appointed K. Murugesan, a 1994 batch officer of the Indian Forest Service (IFS), as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Head of Forest Force (HoFF), Odisha.
The notification was issued by the General Administration & Public Grievances Department.
Murugesan, who has served in various capacities within the Forest Department, brings decades of experience in forest conservation, wildlife management, and environmental governance. His appointment to the top post is seen as a significant step in strengthening Odisha’s forest administration and ensuring effective implementation of conservation policies.
As PCCF and HoFF, Murugesan will oversee the state’s forest management strategies, wildlife protection initiatives, and afforestation programs.
