Balangir, Nov 15: A two-year-old baby elephant accidentally slipped and fell into the well in Latasahada village under Gudighat Panchayat of Muribahal Range in Odisha’s Balangir district.

Following the mishap, Forest Department officials reached the spot and launched a rescue operation to save the trapped animal.

This is not the first such incident in the region. Just days ago, a baby elephant was successfully rescued from a similar situation.

Officials are currently on-site, working diligently to bring the elephant to safety.

The Forest Department is coordinating with local police and wildlife experts to ensure a safe and efficient rescue. The recurrence of such events highlights the growing human-wildlife interface in forest-adjacent regions.
