Bhubaneswar, Oct 31: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today made an unannounced visit to Rajiv Bhavan and inspected the punctuality and performance of the government officials.

The visit was part of his broader push for administrative discipline and accountability across state departments.

The Chief Minister toured multiple departments and inspected the State Hydro-logical Data Center.

Arriving at 10:15 AM, the Chief Minister moved through various offices, checking attendance records and interacting with staff to understand workflow efficiency.

He reviewed the current status of dams, river embankments, and water levels across the state, emphasising the need for proactive water resource management.

Majhi interacted with officials in their chambers and conference halls, urging them to adopt smart governance practices.

While appreciating the efforts of departmental officers, the Chief Minister directed them to work in “mission mode” to achieve the state’s target of irrigating 15 lakh hectares of land.

The Chief Minister also advised departments to focus on maximising water conservation.
