Bargarh, Feb 26: A dozen of passengers had a narrow escape after the bus they were travelling in met with an accident on Sambalpur-Bargarh National Highway near Attabira on Wednesday.
According to reports, the bus was en route from Balangir to Sambalpur when the driver of the vehicle reportedly lost control near a bridge. This led the vehicle to mount to the elevated portion of the Damdama bridge, causing panic among the passengers.
The sudden jolt caused the vehicle to veer towards the edge, climbing onto the concrete wall. Around 20 to 25 passengers were on board at the time.
Fortunately, passengers with some injuries were immediately rushed to the Attabira Community Health Center for treatment. Medical officials confirmed that none of the injured were in critical condition.
Local authorities reached the spot soon after the accident to manage traffic and ensure safety.

Passengers expressed relief that the accident did not result in major casualties, calling it a “miraculous escape.”
