Karanjia, Mar 21: The body of a schoolgirl, who went missing on Friday, has been recovered from a gunny bag. The shocking incident has been reported from the town of Karanjia.

The deceased has been identified as daughter of one Ranjan Kumar Bindhani of Bansahi locality. She was a class 8 student of Bidyamandir School.

According to reports, the victim had gone missing on Friday. Despite frantic searches, her whereabouts remained unknown. However, her body was discovered from a sack near Bansahi.

On being informed about the incident, police officials along with a scientific team rushed to the spot and initiated a probe into the incident.

Authorities have cordoned off the area and are examining the circumstances surrounding the incident.

While the exact cause of death is yet to be determined, police have assured that all angles-including accidental fall, foul play, or other possibilities-will be thoroughly investigated.

The sudden loss of the young student has cast a pall of sorrow over her school and neighborhood.
