Cuttack, Feb 6: Panic gripped the Cuttack District Judge’s Court on Friday after authorities received a fresh bomb threat through email, warning of an explosion inside the court premises.
Besides Cuttack, Phulbani, and Puri district courts have also received bomb threat messages via emai.
According to reports, the alarming message prompted immediate action.
The court complex was swiftly evacuated as a precautionary measure, and police cordoned off the area to ensure the safety of judges, lawyers, staff, and visitors.
A bomb disposal squad was deployed to carry out a thorough search operation inside and around the court building. Security personnel combed the premises for any suspicious objects while maintaining strict vigilance.
This is not the first time the Cuttack court has faced such a threat. Previous incidents of similar nature had already raised concerns about the vulnerability of judicial institutions to such disruptive acts.
