Padmapur, Oct 1: A tragic incident marred the Durga Puja celebrations in Dava village under Jharbandha police station in Bargarh district where a teenager was stabbed to death while another sustained serious injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Chandramani Bariha, aged 17, of Turlla village under Jharbandha police limits.
According to reports, the victim, Chandramani had visited Dava village to witness the Durga Puja festivities when one Kamal Sahu (22) attacked him with a sharp weapon.
Sources indicate that the stabbing took place following a confrontation, allegedly stemming from prior enmity between the families of the accused and the victims.

✨Chandramani’s relative, Bhojaraj Bariha (23), who attempted to intervene, was also stabbed and is currently undergoing treatment at Padmapur Hospital.
On the other hand, police have arrested the accused, Kamal and launched an investigation into the incident.
