Ahmedabad, Jan 24: Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana’s cancelled wedding with singer-composer Palaash Muchhal has taken a dramatic turn after actor-producer Vidnyan Mane levelled serious allegations of infidelity and financial misconduct against Muchhal.
Mane, who claims to be a childhood friend of Mandhana, alleged that Muchhal was “caught red-handed with another woman” during the wedding festivities in November 2025.
In an interview, Mane alleged that Smriti Mandhana’s relationship with Palaash Muchhal collapsed after he was caught with another woman during the November 2025 wedding festivities. Mane claimed Muchhal was confronted by female cricketers at the scene.
"Bhayanak scene tha, he was beaten up by the Indian female cricketers. The entire family is chindi chor. I thought he’d get married and settle in Sangli, but it has completely backfired on me,” Mane said in the interview.
Mane has filed a formal complaint in Sangli, Maharashtra, and says he has preserved evidence including chats and phone recordings.
The wedding, initially scheduled for November 23, 2025, was first postponed citing health emergencies in both families before being officially called off in December. Following the cancellation, Mane claims communication with the Muchhal family ceased, and other artistes linked to the film project were also left unpaid.

Both Mandhana and Muchhal later released separate statements confirming the cancellation of their wedding. Mandhana requested privacy, while Muchhal described the period as “the most difficult phase” of his life, pledging to move forward with dignity.
The controversy has sparked widespread speculation, casting a spotlight on the personal and professional challenges faced by the high-profile couple.
