According to officials, Himanshi lodged a complaint at Sohana Police Station in Mohali, where an FIR was registered under sections related to extortion and criminal intimidation. The police confirmed that the threat included dire warnings if the demanded amount was not paid.
Reports suggest that the extortion attempt may be connected to the same group that recently targeted Bollywood celebrities including Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Rohit Shetty. The caller, identified as “Harry Boxer,” is believed to be an associate of the Bishnoi gang and has been linked to similar threats in recent weeks.
