Puri, Nov 26: The Gundicha Temple in Puri, which was closed for the past six years, is all set to open its door for devotees from December 1st.

The announcement was made by Deputy Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA).

He confirmed that the management of Gundicha Temple will now be overseen by the SJTA. The temple, which holds immense religious importance as the destination of Lord Jagannath during the annual Rath Yatra, has been inaccessible to devotees since 2019.

Its reopening is expected to draw large crowds of pilgrims and visitors. Officials stated that a decision regarding ticketed entry for darshan will be taken at a later stage.
