Berhampur, Oct 16: In a major breakthrough in the murder case of senior lawyer Pitabash Panda, Odisha police have apprehended two sharpshooters from Bihar who were allegedly hired to carry out the killing.

Pitabash Panda, a prominent legal figure in Berhampur, was gunned down in a chilling act that shocked the region.

Preliminary investigations suggest the shooters were contracted killers, raising suspicions of a larger conspiracy behind the crime.

According to reports, the sharpshooters were tracked down and arrested in Bihar following coordinated efforts between multiple state police units. The Odisha police have dispatched teams to Delhi, Bihar, and Kolkata to pursue leads and interrogate potential accomplices and masterminds.
