Bhubaneswar, Mar 7: Several places across Odisha may witness rainfall activities for around three days, according to the Indian Meteorological Department's (IMD) regional centre on Saturday.

The weather agency has also issued a yellow warning for several districts.

According to the latest bulletin,12 districts have been placed under warning for today, with conditions favourable for heavy showers and thunder activity. The situation is expected to intensify tomorrow, with alerts extended to 24 districts.

The weather office has urged people to remain vigilant, particularly in rural and coastal areas where sudden thunderstorms could disrupt daily life.

Odisha is currently under the influence of a cyclonic circulation, raising the likelihood of widespread rainfall across the state.

Officials explained that the cyclonic circulation is likely to persist, bringing intermittent rainfall and localized thunderstorms.

The Meteorological Centre emphasised that these warnings are precautionary and aimed at minimizing risks associated with lightning strikes and heavy downpours. Emergency services have been put on alert, and district administrations are monitoring the situation closely.

With the state bracing for three days of unstable weather, authorities have urged citizens to stay informed through official updates and avoid spreading unverified information.
