Cuttack, Oct 16: A youth was seriously injured after falling off the Mahanadi bridge near Jagatpur following a road accident on Wednesday morning.

The victim, identified as Satish Raut from Chhatia area, reportedly fell from the bridge after he was hit by a truck.

Upon receiving the alert, the fire and rescue team rushed to the scene and successfully rescued the youth. Then victim was immediately admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for treatment.

Sources confirmed that Satish sustained multiple fractures due to the impact of the fall. His condition is currently stable, and medical care is ongoing.
