Bhubaneswar, Apr 4: Tension gripped the capital city once again after a violent attack left a youth injured in Patia Bhoi Sahi late last night.
According to reports, an argument broke out between the victim, identified as Sunil Bhoi, and the accused Siddharth Nayak. The situation took an ugly turn after Siddharth attacked Sunil with a sharp weapon.
Following the attack, Sunil sustained critical injuries to his hand and palm.
On being informed, Chandrasekharpur police rushed to the scene immediately.
During the investigation, officers discovered that the accused had attempted to conceal the weapon by throwing it into a nearby drain before trying to flee. However, swift police action led to his arrest on the spot.
Sunil was provided with first aid and his condition is reported to be stable. The police have confirmed that Siddharth Nayak was taken into custody and subsequently produced before the court.
