Jaleswar, Feb 14: Twp people reportedly sustained critical injuries following a horrific accident near Basta Bypass on National Highway 60 on Friday night.
According to reports, the incident occured when the driver of a speeding coal-laden truck lost control over the wheels and rammed the vehcile into a trailer. The impact triggered a massive fire, engulfing both trucks in flames within moments.
On being informed about the incident, highway patrol teams rushed to the scene and immediately alerted the Basta Fire Department. Immediately, firefighters teamreached the spot and battled the blaze for hours before finally bringing it under control.
Following the incident, two persons sustained serious injuries. They were rescued and admitted to the Basta Community Health Center for treatment.

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the cause of the crash.
