Recent reports suggest that children, particularly from slum clusters and vulnerable neighborhoods, are being targeted by miscreants.
The latest incidents have been reported from Salia Sahi, the city’s largest slum, where two young girls went missing earlier this week. Residents allege that gangs are abducting children when they are found alone, sparking panic among families and raising serious concerns about safety.
In response, Commissionerate Police have intensified search operations and launched a public awareness campaign.
Posters have been put up across Bhubaneswar, urging citizens to remain vigilant and share any information that could help trace the missing children. To encourage cooperation, police have announced a cash reward of Rs 25,000 for credible leads.
