Bhubaneswar, Oct 5: Two individuals were arrested today for allegedly impersonating the Chairperson of the National Commission for Women (NCW) and defrauding people across several states.
The accused persons have been arrested from Maitrivihar area of Bhubaneswar.
According to a senior official, the accused were involved in a series of fraudulent activities, traveling to various regions under the guise of holding high-ranking positions in the central government. They allegedly exploited official protocols and used fake identities to gain trust and extract money from unsuspecting victims.
