Dhenkanal, Oct 17: In a heart-wrenching incident near Kamakhyanagar’s Malpura area in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district, a man and his two young daughters lost their lives in a devastating road accident.

According to initial reports, the man, reportedly from Keonjhar district, was travelling together with wife and two daughters when their vehicle was struck by a speeding Hyva truck.

The impact was so severe that the father and both children died on the spot. The woman, with critical injuries, was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.

Later, police along with the emergency team reached the spot and took stock of the situation.

The identities of the victims have not yet been officially released, but sources confirm they were residents of Keonjhar.

Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident and are working to determine whether negligence or speeding played a role.
