Angul/Baliapal, Feb 21: At least three people were killed in two separate accidents in Angul district and Dandika of Odisha.
According to reports, two people were killed while one person sustained injuries following a collision between a car and a speeding truck on National Highway 55 in Angul district
The mishap took place near Maratira on the highway when a car, moving at high speed, rammed into the rear of a truck.
Following the incident, two occupants of the car died on the spot.
In another tragic incident on National Highway 60 near Dandika, a biker lost his life.
According to reports, a truck carrying paddy struck the motorcycle from behind while it was traveling from Balasore towards Baliapal. The bike got crushed under the truck, killing the rider instantly.

Highway patrol police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it to Basta hospital. The truck carrying paddy was seized and handed over to Basta police for further investigation. Police are continuing their inquiry into the accident.
