According to official sources, over Rs 315 crore will be directly credited to the bank accounts of more than 4.57 lakh eligible beneficiaries under the scheme.

The initiative aims to provide timely financial support to women and families, strengthening social security and welfare measures in the state. The direct benefit transfer (DBT) mechanism ensures transparency and efficiency, allowing beneficiaries to access funds without delay.

Officials said the disbursement reflects the government’s commitment to empowering women and supporting economically weaker households. Beneficiaries across districts are expected to receive the credited amount by Thursday evening.

Earlier on Wednesday, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida had also informed about the development.

The Subhadra Yojana, considered one of the state’s flagship welfare initiatives, aims to provide Rs 10,000 annually to women beneficiaries. So far, three installments have been released by the government. However, due to various reasons, some women were left out in earlier phases. The latest announcement ensures that both new registrants and previously excluded beneficiaries will receive their rightful assistance.
