Baripada, Oct 18: Similipal National Park, one of Odisha’s most cherished wildlife sanctuaries, has officially reopened to visitors starting today.

Park authorities have urged tourists to follow all safety and conservation guidelines to ensure a sustainable tourism experience.
Guidelines:
A total of 60 four-wheelers will be permitted to enter Similipal National Park each day:
- 35 vehicles via the Kalikaprasad Gate in Jashipur
- 25 vehicles through the Pithabata Gate in Baripada
Vehicle Requirements
- Minimum ground clearance of 180mm is mandatory for all vehicles.
Visitor Timing
- All tourists must exit the reserve by 6 PM.
Permit & Documentation
- Entry permits are available at www.similipal.org
- Visitors must present valid ID proof at the entry gate.
The reserve is home to Royal Bengal Tigers, Asian elephants, and a rich diversity of flora and fauna. It also features stunning waterfalls, dense forests, and tribal heritage, making it one of India’s most treasured biosphere reserves.
