Malkangiri, Oct 5: At least three persons were killed as two motorcycles collided with a stationary truck near Katameta on National Highway 326 on Saturday.

According to reports, the incident occurred when two motorcycles collided with a stationary truck that had broken down on the roadside. The impact was so severe that it resulted in the immediate death of three individuals at the scene.

Reportedly, one more person, who had sustained critical injuries in the incident has been admitted to nearby hospital for advanced treatment.

The injured victim is currently undergoing treatment at the Malkangiri District Headquarters Hospital.

Following the incident, police rushed to the spot and launched a probe.

The bodies of the deceased were seized and sent for post-mortem, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
