Puri, Oct 2: On the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra, devotees gathered at the revered Jagannath Temple in Puri to witness a special ritual marking the culmination of the festive season.
On this sacred day, Lord Jagannath was adorned in the majestic Rajarajeshwari Besha, captivating devotees with divine splendor. The Lord was embellished with exquisite golden ornaments including the Kiriti (crown), Chula (hairpiece), Chandrika (forehead ornament), Aadakani (earpiece), Chandrasurya (sun and moon emblems), Sribhuj (armlets), Sripayar (anklets), and Ghagada Mali (waist chain), symbolizing royal divinity.
Following the morning incense ritual, the ceremonial Majana Puja of the Ayudha (weapons) was performed, after which the Lord ceremonially bore the divine weapons.

✨The temple also observed the Avakash Niti, a ritual of rest and transition, culminating in the grand Sunabesha — the golden attire of the deity.
It is widely believed among devotees that witnessing the Sunabesha of Mahaprabhu on Vijayadashami bestows the merit of countless lifetimes.
The temple premises echoed with spiritual fervor as thousands offered prayers, overwhelmed by emotion and devotion.
