The video, which circulated widely on social media, claimed to offer “Anna Prasad” from various locations for just Rs 49 during the holy Kartik month.

Puri, Oct 16: A fresh controversy has erupted over the alleged online sale of ‘Mahaprasad’, the sacred food offering from Jagannath Temple, through popular food delivery platforms.

Following a viral video advertisement by Swiggy, another platform named “Mo Aahar” has now come under scrutiny for promoting Mahaprasad delivery.

Acting swiftly, the Shreemandir security administrator, Hemant Kumar Padhi, filed a complaint with the Cyber Police Station against food delivery platform.

In the complaint, Padhi alleged that a promotional video used visuals of the Jagannath Temple to advertise food delivery services, misleading viewers into believing they were receiving authentic Mahaprasad.

The video, which circulated widely on social media, claimed to offer “Anna Prasad” from various locations for just Rs 49 during the holy Kartik month. However, the inclusion of Shreemandir visuals in the advertisement led to confusion among devotees, many of whom assumed the offering was the sacred Mahaprasad.
