Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: For the first time, newly elected MLA Jay Dholakia raised issues concerning his constituency in the Odisha Legislative Assembly.
The first-time legislator also described the guidance of President Droupadi Murmu as a privilege during his maiden participation.
Speaking during the Zero Hour, Dholakia highlighted the absence of government colleges in Nuapada district. According to Dholakia, Nuapada currently has only one college, which has been functioning for the past 50 years.
He pointed out that the lack of government institutions has created barriers for tribal students seeking higher education. He urged the state government to take over the college and bring it under its administration to ensure better access to education.
