Bhubaneswar, Oct 25: In a significant development in the Pitabash Panda murder case, police have obtained and released photographs of the two main accused — sharpshooter Kurupati Bhuyan and Uma Bishoyi.

According to reports, Kurupati Bhuyan is believed to have fired the shots at Pitabash Panda from close range, while Uma Bishoyi allegedly played a key role in arranging the shooter and facilitating the attack.

Both individuals have been on the run since the incident and are actively evading arrest.

Despite the arrest of 13 accused in connection with the case earlier, Kurupati and Uma have managed to escape capture.

Police sources reveal that the duo is attempting to mislead investigators and may have fled the state.

A statewide and inter-state network has been activated to trace their whereabouts.

In a recent breakthrough, Chintu — the motorcycle rider who allegedly helped Kurupati flee the scene — has been arrested. His interrogation is expected to provide crucial leads in the ongoing manhunt.

Authorities have confirmed that Uma played a key role in coordinating the attack. The police continue to pursue all angles, and further arrests are expected.
