Ganjam, Oct 10: Three persons including a CISF jawan have been detained in connection with the brutal murder of senior advocate and BJP leader Pitabash Panda.
The detentions mark a significant turn in the probe.
According to reports, footage from over 60 CCTV cameras have been reviewed to trace the movements of the assailants and gather forensic leads. The police are also analysing call records and digital footprints to establish possible links to the crime.

✨A special investigation team has been dispatched outside the state to follow up on leads that may have cross-border implications. Officials have not disclosed the destination or nature of the external probe, citing operational sensitivity.
Berhampur SP confirmed that the investigation is being conducted from all possible angles, including political rivalry, personal enmity, and professional disputes. “We are leaving no stone unturned,” he stated.
