Bhubaneswar, Sep 27: To sensitise Sishu Sevikas about their roles and responsibilites, the Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) has launched an awareness program.

The initiative emphasised the importance of maintaining a safe and nurturing classroom environment for children enrolled under their care. Workers have been instructed to prioritise hygiene, especially during mealtimes, and to ensure cleanliness is upheld throughout the day.

The officials also guided workers on how to identify and support children who may appear uncomfortable or distressed.

Further directives include providing age-appropriate books and toys when necessary, and accompanying children to toilets or other locations to ensure their safety.

The Sishu Sevikas were also directed to maintain a daily logbook documenting each child’s behavior and interactions.
