Bhubaneswar, Oct 31: In a major development, Crime Branch Director General Binaytosh Mishra has informed that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will take over the investigation into the alleged irregularities in the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment examination.
Addressing the media, DG Mishra confirmed that the decision to hand over the case to the CBI was taken to ensure a thorough and impartial probe into the recruitment scam that has sparked widespread concern.
He assured that complete cooperation will be extended to the central agency during the investigation.
“All relevant documents and evidence will be handed over to the CBI,” Mishra stated, emphasising the state’s commitment to transparency and accountability in the recruitment process.
