Bhubaneswar, Nov 1: In a major step toward decentralising land registration services, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today inaugurated the facility to conduct land purchase and registration directly at Tehsil offices across Odisha.

Starting today, land registration services will be available in 44 Tehsil offices as part of the first phase of the rollout. The remaining 273 Tehsils will be brought under the system in subsequent phases.

Citizens can now book slots online and visit their respective Tehsil offices to complete land registration procedures, eliminating the need to travel to district headquarters or sub-registrar offices.

This move is expected to streamline property transactions, reduce delays, and make the process more accessible, especially in rural and remote areas.

The initiative aligns with the state’s broader digital governance goals and aims to bring transparency and efficiency to land-related services.
