New Subhadra Yojana Window For Eligible Women Who Missed Earlier Round

Bhubaneswar, Mar 28: In a major push towards women’s financial independence, the Odisha government on Saturday has announced to open a fresh application window under the Subhadra Yojana to expand its coverage and include more beneficiaries.

Fresh Application Window Announced

As per an official press note, eligible women who have not applied earlier can submit applications through the Subhadra Portal from April 1 to April 30, 2026.

The move is aimed at ensuring that no deserving beneficiary is left out of the scheme.

Eligibility and Financial Support

Applicants must be between 21 and 60 years of age as on April 1, 2026.

Under the scheme, selected beneficiaries will receive financial assistance of Rs 10,000 annually, disbursed in two instalments, starting from the financial year 2026-27 and continuing for the duration of the scheme.

Only New Applicants Eligible

Officials clarified that only fresh applications will be accepted during this window. Women who have already applied earlier will not be eligible to reapply.

Multiple Channels for Easy Registration

To ensure smooth enrolment, the government has facilitated registration through Common Service Centres (CSCs) and Ama Seva Kendras (ASKs) across the state.

Application forms will also be available free of cost at all Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) and offices of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO).

Focus on Inclusion and Empowerment

Describing the initiative as a significant step, the state government reiterated its commitment to strengthening women’s economic security and self-reliance, while ensuring wider inclusion under the Subhadra Yojana.
