Bhubaneswar, Feb 27: Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) YB Khurania has issued a stern final warning to Maoists, urging them to abandon arms and embrace the path of non‑violence. He appealed to cadres to join the mainstream and avail themselves of rehabilitation schemes offered by the government.
The DGP emphasised that those who surrender with weapons will be provided state support, including assistance for reintegration into society. However, he cautioned that if Maoists continue on the path of violence, the police will adopt a strict “tit‑for‑tat” approach to counter their actions.
