Champua, Sep 28: A major mishap was averted after a private bus rammed into a road divider near a toll Plaza on National Highway 520 here on Sunday.

According to reports, the incident occurred while the bus was en route from Keonjhar to Barbil. Meanwhile, the driver lost balance, causing the vehicle to veer off course and collide with the divider. Fortunately, all 30 passengers on board escaped with minor injuries or unharmed.

On being informed, police along with rescue team rushed to the spot and took stock of the situation.

While a case has been registered and probe into the incident is underway.
