Nuapada, Sep 28: A moving truck caught fire on National Highway 353 near Khairbhadi Chhak, resulting in the destruction of goods worth several lakhs of rupees.

According to reports, the truck was transporting a large consignment of grocery and fancy items. Meanwhile, a fire broke out in the vehicle in the middle of the road, causing panic among passersby and temporary disruption of traffic.

While the exact cause of the fire remains unclear, preliminary reports suggest the presence of flammable materials inside the vehicle might have caused the blaze.

Firefighters from Komna Fire Station rushed to the scene and brought the blaze under control. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far.

Sources indicate that the truck was en route from Raipur when the incident occurred.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of the damage.
